Are you a college student or high school Senior getting ready for Sorority Recruitment? You will want to obtain Letters of Reference from alumnae of the sororities on your campus. Check your college's Panhellenic or Grrek website to find out more information about deadlines and mailing addresses.

If you personally know a Theta alumna, you may ask her to submit a recommendation for you.  You will help her by providing a resume or statement about yourself, your interests, honors, etc.  Also provide a high school transcript (it does not need to be an official copy), a photo, and let her know if you have legacy status with Kappa Alpha Theta.*

If you are not yet acquainted with a Theta alumna, members of our Chapter are available to discuss recruitment and write a letter of reference for you.  It's a good idea to work ahead on this, as most college chapters assemble their Recommends well in advance of the Recruitment period.  Please contact our chapter at

*A Theta legacy is defined as a daughter, granddaughter, great-granddaughter, or sister of a Kappa Alpha Theta. Stepdaughters, step granddaughters, step great-granddaughters, and stepsisters are considered legacies if their family considers them as such and if the family asks that they be considered as such on the legacy introduction form.
